Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. Stand firm therefore, HAVING GIRDED YOUR LOINS WITH TRUTH, and HAVING PUT ON THE BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, and having shod YOUR FEET WITH THE PREPARATION OF THE GOSPEL OF PEACE;in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. And take THE HELMET OF SALVATION, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Play for keeps I have started this Doctor of ministry project a bit serendipitously. About a year and a half ago I made some enquiries with NTS about the program. I had seen their magazine with Pastor Debbie’s grad picture in it – I remember seeing two grads, not a big class. Dr. Dahl had received his Doctorate of Ministry a few years back. I arranged to get my transcripts sent in and had sent in an initial application so they could begin the process – I had taken my Masters degree some 20 years ago and I wasn’t sure if I would need to do some upgrading. Out of the blue in May of last year I received a call saying I was on stream to join the program and I was given a list of things I would need in order to complete my registration. Well, okay. I prayed about it, talked with Bonnie, and my dad, and decided to proceed – God opened the door so I stepped through it. Read more…
