We held a YBY women's conference in January, 2010 at The Bridge on 20th. We had some 25 women begin to learn about their strengths and how they can use those strengths to make significant changes in their lives. There was an eight week small group follow-up.  It was a wonderful event!

Current Events

Louise Street Community Church is about community. Part of community is getting together to celebrate and learn. We have several events you may want to join with us. The first place to check for details is our weekly Bulletin.

Upward Summer Camps

August 9-13 is the week to plug in to eith our ball hockey camp, or our cheerleading camp. Registration forms are available at the church. The cost is $40 for each child, and includes a t-shirt and either a hockey stick or two pom poms, depending on the camp. Add $10 if you register after July 23.

Both camps will be focusing on skills training and good sportsmanship. Ball Hockey will run from 9 a.m. to noon, and Cheerleading will run from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.

 We have held 4 YBY conferences, all considered succesful by the participants. Look for a new conference this fall (2010) along with the weekly small group follow-up. Details forthcoming. 

Anniversary Service

Sunday, October 3rd is our 80the anniversary as a local church here in Saskatoon. DS Larry Dahl will be speaking - come for a time of fun and celebration.

Treks

Our Junior Church program is called Treks, and is a time of fun and learning and discipleship for the young ones in the faith. For ages 12 and under, there will be some optional "achievements" that the kids can work on. This will restart in September after the summer break.


Community Programs

If you have a way with words, a community Scrabble club meets at the church on Thursdays from 7 - 10 p.m. Contact George at 683-0771 for details.

A local AA group meets at the church on Wednesdays at 8 p.m.

Have preschool kids? A local co-operative play group called Stay and Play meets at the church on several mornings from 9:15 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. Call Crystal at 651-0107 or email stayandplay@shaw.ca for details.

The Gingerbread Hose Preschool has also moved to our church from Lakeside School. Join Kathleen with her 12th year as teacher. Phone the church for more information. Spots are available for the Tuesday/Thursday a.m. class.
